Scholarship Description
Every year, the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) supports about half of the MBA class by granting them scholarships or loans. The total amount of scholarships available each year is around CHF500'000 and CHF 1.3 million for loans.
The Jim Ellert MBA Scholarships is offered and given to citizens from Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and the South-Eastern Asian Peninsula.
The scholarship are intended to attract students from the above-mentioned areas and regions of the world who wish to pursue an MBA Degree at IMD.
Eligibility
Candidates who have already applied to the full-time IMD MBA program.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong financial need (with preference given to women). Demonstrate financial need by completing the Financial Aid Application and submitting a 500 word essay. Candidates will also be considered on the basis of merit as per the quality of their admission application.
Preference is given to citizens from Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and the South-Eastern Asian Peninsula.

- Africa,
- Central and Eastern Europe (including all former Soviet republics), and
- South-Eastern Asian Peninsula (Thailand, Myramar, Cambodia, Loas, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia)

Method of Application
You must have been accepted into the IMD MBA Program before you can apply for this scholarship. You can apply for admission into an IMD program by using the MBA online application form before any of the program application deadlines listed below. You must also submit an essay on “Why I would like to do an MBA at IMD” (maximum 500 words) together with the scholarship application form. The quality of the admission application will also be taken into consideration. All applications must reach IMD on or before the deadline stipulated below.

DEADLINE:
Applications are accepted every year. The deadline for applications into the IMD MBA Program is February 1, April 1, June 1, August 1 and September 1. The deadline for scholarship applications is always on or before the 30th day of September of any year of applying.
