Scholarship Description
The University of Sheffield offers scholarships to International postgraduate students who show exceptional academic potential wishing to start a postgraduate taught masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September 2013.
A range of scholarships are available within the Management School as the University of Sheffield Management School offers MSc and MBA scholarships worth up to £5000.
Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply ahead of time. You can make an application to study an postgraduate degree programme at the University of Sheffield from anywhere in the world.
Eligibility
The general eligibility requirements are:
- Academic requirements – applicants should have a first or upper second class UK honours degree, or equivalent.
- Allowed study options – applicants should have received at least a conditional offer from the University to study on one of the full-time MSc programmes or full-time MBA programme.
- Personal criteria – applicants must have the personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary to make an excellent contribution to the programme.
These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.

- Asia/Pacific - 2 Scholarships
- EU (not including UK) - 2 Scholarships
- Africa/Middle East - 2 Scholarships

For the MSc Scholarships - Ten (10) International Awards will be given
For the MBA Scholarships - Eight (8) International Awards will be given

Scholarship benefits
Scholarships valued at £5000 each are available to International applicants of both the MSc (ten awards) and MBA (eight awards) programmes
Method of Application
All students who are eligible for a scholarship and have accepted their offer before the closing date will be automatically considered. All applicants who have been made a conditional or unconditional offer will be sent an email inviting them to apply for the relevant scholarship. The email will outline all scholarships that the applicant is eligible to apply for.

Closing date for applications is 31 May 2013
PLEASE NOTE:
The students to whom a scholarship will be awarded will receive notification before 31 July 2013. The scholarship will only be valid when the student has met all entry requirements for either the MSc or MBA programme the student has applied for. The scholarship will be void when the student fails to register for the 2013 intake on the MSc or on the MBA programme the student has applied for.
