The Wilfrid Laurier University is happy to announce one its endowed awards, the Frances L Mathers Leadership Award, which is a FULL-time undergraduate scholarship for female applicants.
The Frances L Mathers Leadership Award is awarded for any field of undergraduate study at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada, for the 2011/2012 academic session.
This endowed award, the Frances L Mathers Leadership Award, was established to celebrate the life of a very special woman, whose dedication and kindness to her family, friends and community was beyond comparison.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this award, the following apply:
- Full time (minimum two semesters in one academic year) female undergraduate students in Year 2 or Year 3 of any undergraduate program;
- OUA/CIS-eligible varsity athletes or members of the cheerleading squad;
- average academic achievement (minimum cumulative GPA of 7.0 [B-] during the previous academic year);
- demonstration of leadership qualities and volunteer work;
- Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident (landed immigrant) or Protected Person;
- long-term resident of Ontario;
- proven financial need
