Scholarship Description
Chevron Nigeria Limited, in collaboration with its Joint Venture partner, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), is offering a number of University Scholarship Awards to suitably qualified Nigerian students.

The NNPC/Chevron National University Scholarship Awards targets qualified Nigerian students in their second year of study. Please note that applicants for the NNPC/CNL JV scholarship are ineligible to apply for any other scholarship program sponsored by Chevron Nigeria Limited, its JV Partners, or any of its affiliates, including the Agbami scholarship program published simultaneously with this NNPC/CNL JV scholarship program.

Eligibility
E-applications are invited from full-time SECOND YEAR (200 LEVEL) degree students of the under-listed approved courses and fields of study, in Nigerian Universities.

Please note that applicants for the NNPC/CNL JV scholarship are ineligible to apply for any other scholarship program sponsored by Chevron Nigeria Limited, its JV Partners, or any of its affiliates, including the Agbami scholarship program published simultaneously with this NNPC/CNL JV scholarship program.

Method of Application
To apply to this scholarship, you must fulfill the eligibility criteria (see "Eligibility' above). Visit the official website and click on "Register Now" to create an account, activate your account via your email and return to the official website to complete your user profile. Ensure you click 2017/2018 NNPC/CHEVRON JV National University Scholarship to open scholarship page. Then click “Apply” in the top right hand corner of your screen to apply.

Please note these three important points below before you commence your application:

1). Before you start this application, ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents:
  1. Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb).
  2. School ID card.
  3. Admission letter.
  4. Birth certificate.
  5. O' Level result.
  6. JAMB Result.
2). Ensure the documents are named according to what they represent to avoid mixing up documents during upload.

3). Ensure you attach the appropriate documents when asked to upload. To start your online application, carefully read through and follow the step-by-step information below.

DEADLINES:
Closing date for receipt of e-applications is strictly Wednesday 9th April, 2017.

PLEASE NOTE:
NNPC/Chevron will accept applications through the official web site ONLY (link to it is below). Hard copies of any document submitted will not be processed. All interested students are advised to click on 'How To Apply' tab to proceed.

In line with the e-scholarship administration system, selected students will be invited for computer-administered qualifying tests in selected examination centers nationwide. Short-listed candidates for the qualifying test will be invited by email and SMS text messages. All applicants are therefore advised to ensure that GSM telephone numbers and personal email addresses are properly entered into the e-forms on the web site.

ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED.

APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER VALID PERSONAL BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS.

MULTIPLE APPLICATION LEADS TO AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION.

    1. Hello, there is DEFINITELY a disqualification penalty for any multiple applications.

      I do not believe that clicking the 'APPLY' button twice, when the first click did not go through will amount to a double application.
      However, it is BEST to avoid all ambiguities.

  7. Pls kindly update the list of approved courses. As it is presently listed: it will take us no where. Where are the natural sciences, basic medical sciences ...? These are the courses that stimulate growth. They do pure research. Without these- no development.

  18. Mathematics is the center of sciences and when the center cannot hold, other areas fall apart. Why is it that mathematics is not in the list of the eligible courses and when is the scholarship scheme going to be on for 2018/2019 session?
