Queen Mary University of London announces several full- and partial-tuition LL.M. Scholarship Opportunities for students enrolling for the 2010-2011 academic year.
The Queen Mary LL.M. scholarships comprise the following scholarships: Department of Law Scholarships, Centre for Commercial Law Studies Scholarships, Opportunities in Law Scholarships, and Queen Mary Alumni Partial Scholarships (for QMUL LL.B. graduates on or prior to 2009).
The LL.M. scholarships are available for incoming LL.M. students at the Queen Mary, University of London's (QMUL) School of Law, comprising the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Studies (CCLS).
Eligibility
Department of Law Scholarships:
Four Department of Law scholarships covering full tuition fees available for Home/EU students and two for Non-EU students pursuing course work in: Environmental Law, European Law, Public Law, Public International Law, Medical Law, Legal Theory and History, Human Rights Law, Competition Law, and Law and Development.
Students who wish to take a general LL.M. must choose any three modules from the areas mentioned above to qualify for the department scholarship.
Centre for Commercial Law Studies Scholarships:
Three scholarships covering full tuition fees available for Home/EU students and three for non-EU students wishing to take any three Commercial Law subjects under a General LL.M. or who wish to specialize in the following: Commercial and Corporate Law, Banking and Finance Law, Tax Law, Comparative and International Dispute Resolution, Computer and Communications Law, Economic Regulation, Intellectual Property Law, and International Business Law
Opportunities in Law Scholarships:
In addition, the School of Law will be offering six partial scholarships worth up to £2,000 for international students from the African continent, China, India, South America, and Thailand.
These "Opportunities in Law Scholarships" will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Opportunities in Law Scholarships are not dependent upon students completing a particular course of study while on the LL.M.
Queen Mary Alumni Partial Scholarships (for QMUL LL.B. graduates on or prior to 2009):
The School of Law will be offering six LL.M. Queen Mary alumni partial scholarships for either the full-time or part-time LL.M. worth up to £1,000 for QMUL LL.B. graduates (Home/EU applicants only). If applying on a part-time basis, successful candidates will have this award deducted from their first-year fee.
These awards are aimed at students who successfully graduate from our LL.B. program on or prior to 2009. Alumni Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Law Alumni Scholarships are not dependent upon students completing a particular course of study while on the LL.M.
