Syngenta, the world-leading agribusiness committed to sustainable agriculture through innovative research and technology, in partnership with INSEAD, offers the INSEAD Syngenta Endowed Scholarship(s) for Emerging Country Leadership.
INSEAD is committed to training the brightest and best from around the world for the challenge of tomorrow's business world. Therefore, scholarships will be awarded per class to candidates from around the world demonstrating qualifying attributes.
INSEAD Scholarships, as one of the most sought-after sources of financial assistance, are limited in number. Therefore there is significant competition for each award. These scholarships are granted under various criteria.
Eligibility
Candidates must be a national of an emerging economy and have spent a substantial part of their lives in the developing world, in education and/or professional experience. Experience in industry will be considered a plus.
Preference will be given to candidates who require proven financial assistance.
Scholarship criteria:
Candidates for this scholarship will need to demonstrate: (a) outstanding academic achievement and promise (b) aptitude for business and financial management (c) leadership potential and (d) a commitment to contributing to their country or region at some point in the future.

Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
(INSEAD admits two classes per year, each comprising 500 students and representing over 80 nationalities. Around 300 participants start on the Europe campus in France and around 200 start on the Asia campus in Singapore.)

Two scholarships will be awarded per class i.e. total of four grants per year
Sponsorship duration
Grants cover the entire duration of the MBA class
Scholarship benefits
The value amount of each award is €22,500 per successful applicant

ESSAY TOPIC
- Briefly discuss the requirements for successful business leadership in your country today. Describe how you envisage contributing to the future development of your country after graduation and why you should be considered for this award. (200 words)
- Briefly discuss measures required for sustainable agriculture in your country/region in the context of urban and rural development. Focus on what you consider to be the most important element (450 words)
- Provide a concise but accurate description of your financial circumstances as well as a cash flow forecast for the year at INSEAD (details of income set against expenditures). (150-200 words)
DEADLINES:
Each year, the submission of applications is for two classes -- the July class (starts in September) and the December class (starts in January).
For the July 2018 class, application submissions for Round 1 OPENS 24 October 2016 and CLOSES 7 November 2016; while Round 2 applications OPEN 16 January 2017 and CLOSES 31 January 2017.
For the December 18 Class, application submissions for Round 1 OPENS 24 April 2017 and CLOSES 8 May 2017; while Round 2 applications OPEN 5 June 2017 and CLOSES 19 June 2017.
