Scholarship Description
The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) (Greek: Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου or "ΤΕ.ΠΑ.Κ.", Turkish: Kıbrıs Teknoloji Üniversitesi), is a university established in 2004. Its first intake of students was for the academic year 2007-08.
The establishment of the CUT is an attempt to fill in gaps that still exist within Cyprus’ higher education by offering degrees in undergraduate and post graduate levels that are not offered by the University of Cyprus or by other higher education institutions.
Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill two (2) part-time Research Fellow positions at the Department of Hotel and Tourism Management for a research program related to one of the following fields: “Sociology / Anthropology / Social Psychology / Social Geography / Behaviour Sciences.
Eligibility
Candidates must have experience in preparing, submitting, and managing research projects.
Applicants should have:
- University Degree and a Masters degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university in one or a combination of the following fields of study: Sociology / Anthropology / Social Psychology / Social Geography / Behavioural Sciences
- Very Good knowledge of the English language (spoken and written)
- Experience in carrying out surveys on the advertised subjects.
Citizens of ANY country, natives of Cyprus and graduates of Cyprus institutions will be given preference.

With its orientation towards applied research, the University aspires to establish for itself a role in support of the state and society in their efforts to confront problems, which cover all areas of science and technology. The programmes of the CUT to a large extent complement scientific areas, which are not currently covered at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels by the University of Cyprus or any other institution of higher education in that country.
The CUT was founded by law on December 2003 and welcomed its first students on September 2007.
The CUT is based at the city of Limassol, where all six faculties are located. Limassol is the second largest city in Cyprus.
