Do you want to make a difference to the development of your home country? Founded in 2001, Developing Solutions is The University of Nottingham's flagship international scholarship programme for postgraduate masters courses.
Over the past 16 years Nottingham University has supported thousands of students from developing countries of the Commonwealth and Africa to study at The University of Nottingham.
The Developing Solution Master Scholarships are designed for students from Africa, India and qualifying Commonwealth countries who want to make a difference to the development of their home country.
Eligibility
You can apply for this scholarship if you:
- are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Africa, India or one of the countries of the Commonwealth listed below* AND
- are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
- have not already studied outside of your home country** AND
- are not currently studying at a University of Nottingham campus or are not a University of Nottingham graduate AND
- hold an offer to start a full-time masters degree programme, including MRes, at Nottingham for September 2018 in an eligible area of study (see 'Fields of study' below)

Eligible areas of study are Masters degree programmes, including Master of Research (i.e. MRes) within the:
- Faculty of Engineering,
- Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences,
- Faculty of Science,
- Faculty of Social Science
A total of 105 scholarships given out every year – 30 of which are FULL (100% tuition fee) and 75 of which are PARTIAL (50% towards tuition fee)

Method of Application
To apply to this scholarship, you must have applied to a course of study and hold an offer for a masters degree programme at Nottingham. Information on how to apply to study at The University of Nottingham is available here. We recommend that application for admission to study at Nottingham should be received at least six weeks before the scholarship closing date to allow time for Admissions office to process the application and confirm your offer, before you can apply for the scholarship. Any application for admission to study submitted later than six weeks before the scholarship closing date is not guaranteed to be processed in time.
You will not be able to apply for a scholarship without an offer to study. You will be required to enter your postgraduate application id before you can proceed with your scholarship application. If you do not have an offer then you will not be able to apply.

DEADLINES:
The closing date for scholarship applications is 30th April 2019 – 12 midnight (UK time). Applications for scholarships may be submitted up until the closing date.
