  • they must intend to return to their own country at the completion of their degree
Note that the fund also gives preference to candidates who already receive some form of financial assistance.

Includes study results, the relevance of the study to development and the financial resources of the student. Method of Application
Previously, you had to apply for a fellowship (i.e scholarship) after you must have been admitted to an MSc at Wageningen University. This has now been changed.

Candidates will now be selected in close cooperation with the university. The fund will no longer look at individual applications. Therefore you cannot apply for a scholarship, you have to wait if a combined Wageningen University Fellowship/Anne van den Ban scholarship is offered to you. This will happen next spring around May.

DEADLINES:
Apply to a course, and wait to see if a scholarship is offered you. Course application deadlines differ for Dutch, EU/EFTA and non-EU/EFTA nationals.

For non-EU/EFTA nationals applying to the February courses, admission deadline is October 1. For those applying to the September courses, admission deadline is May 1. Please see the 'Apply for Master' link on the Student Service Center web page (link below) for more.

PLEASE NOTE:
Be aware that the number of Master's programmes you can apply for is limited to two per academic year. Therefore, before you apply online make an informed decision about what you want to study.

Course application forms (including relevant guidelines and brochures) may be downloaded from the 'Student Service Center page.
