Scholarship Description:
The Giovanni Armenise-Harvard Foundation, in conjunction with the Italian Science Writers Association (UGIS), has launched a Science Writers Fellowship Program for young Italian science writers working in Italy.
Each year two Italian science writers at the beginning or mid-career are selected to spend a week in June or July at Harvard Medical School. Science Writer Fellows have the opportunity to interview top HMS researchers from diverse fields, tour laboratories, attend Armenise-Harvard and/or HMS symposia and conferences, meet science writers from the HMS community, and work with editors at HMS.
Eligibility and Grant Application Process:
Candidates must:
- Be Italian science writers in the earlier stages of their career, who are currently working in Italy.
- Have a good command of English and previous experience writing about science for the general public.
