Scholarship Description
Swansea University offers a wide range of different scholarship schemes for International & EU Students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels leading to a degree. Swansea University offers them in recognition of the high calibre of the international students choosing to study at the University.

The International Development Office at Swansea University is awarding up to £6000 each for Excellence Scholarships for Undergraduate study and up to £4000 each for Excellence Scholarships for Postgraduate study.

Eligibility
The scholarships are many and varied for several countries. Also, the eligibility criteria for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate 'Excellence Scholarships' are many and varied.

In general:
You can apply for the International Excellence Scholarships for Undergraduates if you:
  • are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) the country for which the award is offered
  • are classed as an overseas student for fee purpose
  • are enrolling on a course at Swansea University for the first time in September 2015. (Students applying for second year entry and foundation level students are not eligible to apply)
    OR, have already submitted your application and hold an offer to study at Swansea University in September 2015
You can apply for the International Excellence Scholarships for Postgraduate if you:
  • are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) the country for which the award is offered
  • are classed as an overseas student for fee purpose
  • are enrolling on a postgraduate course at Swansea University for the first time in September 2015
    OR, have already submitted your application and hold an offer to study at Swansea University in September 2015

Awards are available for the first year only of any Postgraduate degree programme.

Scholarship benefits
For Undergraduate study, the International Development Office is awarding a number of £4000 (+£2000*) scholarships. (*If you receive £4,000 in your first year (2015) you will be awarded £2,000 in your second year conditional on you passing the first year with an overall average of 65%.)

For Postgraduate study, a number of £4000 scholarships are offered to students from the many countries.

Method of Application
Applicants must have completed an application for a place to study at Swansea University which must have been received by the Admissions Office by the deadline date. All candidates must ensure this is done before applying for an International Excellence Scholarship.

To apply for the scholarship, you must download and complete an International Excellence Scholarship form 2015. Make sure that the email you enter is one which you check regularly as Swansea will use this for correspondence.

The deadline date for applications for the 'International Excellence Scholarships' is 1st July 2015.
