Scholarship Description
Being Americas most active tax credit investor, U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation provides innovative financing solutions to meet the community and economic development needs of its partners and those they serve.

The U.S. Bank offers an Internet Scholarship Program targeted at high school seniors and college undergraduates. The program provides opportunity for applicants to be awarded one of many $1,000 scholarships every year.

All interested and eligible applicants are invited to apply for this programme after familiarizing themselves with the necessary criteria for applications

Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the U.S. Bank Scholarship Program, a student must be:
  • A high school senior planning to enroll in or a current undergraduate college student at an eligible two- or four-year college or university.
  • Enrolled by September 2013.
  • A United States citizen or permanent resident alien.
Selection criteria:
The Program is available to high school seniors (graduating in the 2012-2013 school year) and college undergraduates. Winners will be selected at random.

Citizens of the United States
Citizens of any other country who has become a permanent resident alien in the USA

Participating Institutions
Any approved high school or college. It is the recipient's obligation to inform U.S. Bank which school will be attended and about any changes in circumstance that would render the recipient ineligible to claim the scholarship award.

Scholarship benefits
The value of each award is $1,000. Scholarship award checks will be issued in August 2013. Scholarship award checks are payable jointly to the student and the school and must be endorsed by both.

DEADLINES:
Applications will be accepted starting late January until May 31 of every year. For the academic year 2013, deadline date is 31st of May, 2013.

PLEASE NOTE:
Upon selection, U.S. Bank will verify winner submissions and notify each scholarship recipient in writing by mid June 2013. Verification may also be made by phone or email to establish that your college selection has not changed. If your selection has changed and you are no longer attending an eligible school, your award will be revoked.

Scholarship award recipients have no obligation to U.S. Bank.

Scholarship awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, age, gender, disability or national origin.

U.S. Bank reserves the right to review and change the conditions and procedures of the Scholarship Program, including its termination, at any time.
