Eligibility
To be eligible for an IET scholarship you must be considering undertaking one of the IET accredited degree programmes (see below).

  • You have settled status in the UK, meaning there are no restrictions on how long you can stay.
  • You have been ‘ordinarily resident’ in the UK for 3 years prior to the start of your degree. This means you must have been normally residing in the UK (apart from temporary or occasional absences).

Method of Application
Applications should be made using the Online Application Form on the official website (link to it is below).
Changes to your application form can be made at any time up until the deadline date. The form allows you to include your provisional (expected) grades.

The application form and supporting documentation are the same for all undergraduate scholarships. The Scholarships Committee will decide which scholarships are most applicable to shortlisted/successful applicants.

DEADLINES:
The deadline for Receipt of applications is 17.00 GMT, 27th June, 2013.
Candidates who have completed their submissions by 27th June 2013 will be invited to upload a scanned copy of their results and UCAS confirmation by 21 August 2013 and add their confirmed grades to the form.

PLEASE NOTE:
Check that your degree course is accredited by the IET by downloading the directory of IET accredited courses. IET is unable to consider an application for scholarship if your course of study is not accredited by them at your university. Universities decide which of their courses they will seek to have accredited by the IET: please do not assume that a degree course that is IET accredited at one university will automatically be IET accredited at another.

If you are not British or a national of a country within the European Economic Area or Switzerland, IET will require a scanned copy of documentation that proves your eligibility to live and study in the UK (student visa, leave to remain etc).
If obtaining a student visa is dependent on your examination results, please inform IET in the covering e-mail you send with your form. Also note that if you do require a visa to study in the UK, IET will need evidence of a conditional offer from a UK university before they can consider your application.
