Scholarship Description
Cuyamaca College USA, with funding from Peyton Goddard, offers the Peyton Goddard Scholarship as an undergraduate scholarship for disabled students.
At the 2002 Cuyamaca College Valedictorian speech, Peyton Goddard announced the purpose of the Peyton Goddard Scholarship. He said it was “To establish a scholarship for future students similar to myself to experience as I have the wisdom of Cuyamaca College.”
Eligible students who have gained entry into Cuyamaca College USA are encouraged to apply for the Peter Goddard Scholarship to enable them progress with their studies at Cuyamaca College.
Eligibility
Scholarship Criteria:
- Must be currently enrolled at Cuyamaca College
- Must have Disabled Student Programs & Services status verified
- Must have an Education Plan on file with the Cuyamaca DSP&S Office
- Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00
- Must have completed at least nine (9) units at Cuyamaca College

Method of Application
Complete and Submit Application Package which consists of:
- The Peyton Goddard Scholarship Application
- Essay (400 word maximum)
- One Letter of Recommendation from a Cuyamaca College Instructor, Professor, or Counselor
Ensure Scholarship Application is complete, signed, and dated. Essay addresses Peyton's question at commencement ceremony (see application for details); ensure it is signed and dated. Ensure there is a Letter of Recommendation. Download 2017-18 Application Pack. Finally, submit the whole application to the Cuyamaca College Scholarship Office by deadline.

Spring Deadline is Oct. 20, 2017 by 1:00pm. Fall deadline was April 13, 2016

Cuyamaca College is a community college in the San Diego County community of Rancho San Diego, near El Cajon, California. Along with Grossmont College it serves the eastern suburbs in the San Diego area. Cuyamaca College opened in 1978.
