Scholarship Description
London Metropolitan University offers merit-based postgraduate scholarships to outstanding international students who wish to pursue a Master’s Degree at the University.

At London Metropolitan University (LMU), Postgraduate study includes Postgraduate taught courses, Postgraduate research degrees, and Professional courses.

Eligibility
International fee paying students who hold an unconditional offer for one of their postgraduate degree programmes and who pay international tuition fees may apply for a scholarship. (Home and EU students are not eligible for the scholarship.)

You can't apply for a scholarship unless you have applied for a course and been given an unconditional offer to study at London Met (current continuing students are the only exception to this rule).

Selection criteria:
Applicants are judged on academic merit and on the likely economic/social benefit to their home country of them doing a Masters degree in the UK. (This must be clearly demonstrated in the personal statement that the above criteria are met, evidence of paid and/or voluntary work done should also be included in the scholarship application, where applicable.)

Please note that this scholarship is ONLY for students on ANY taught Masters degree programme offered at the University.

Postgraduate study at LMU includes:
  • Postgraduate taught courses: Postgraduate taught courses leading to qualifications such as MA, MSc, MBA, DMS, Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate if you want to study beyond Bachelor level.
  • Postgraduate research degrees: Research opportunities through our Research Institutes or through academic departments and leading to qualifications such as MPhil and PhD.
  • Professional courses: Professional taught courses leading to qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and Institute of Credit Management.

The postgraduate scholarship programme provides full and partial tuition fee financial support for any taught Masters degree students.

Method of Application
There are TWO ways to complete your scholarship application form: you may apply for the scholarships electronically either directly online or by emailing the downloaded word application form. The deadlines for accessing this and applying are as below.

Remember you can not apply for a scholarship unless you have applied for a course and been given an unconditional offer to study at London Met. If you do not have an offer to study at London Met yet, please refer to How to Apply page.

DEADLINES:
Applications for London Met scholarships are reviewed twice yearly (in June and November) by a panel of academic staff at the University. The application deadlines are 31 May for September entry and 31 October for February entry.

PLEASE NOTE:
Evidence of paid and/or voluntary work done should also be included in the scholarship application, where applicable.

Please note that London Met will not pay for your tuition of any pre-sessional courses that you may be required to take before you begin your postgraduate course. Also note that Short courses, Foundation Programmes, HND's and pre-Masters degrees are not covered by any of London Metropolitan University's Scholarships. You MUST hold an unconditional offer from London Met to be eligible to apply for any one of these scholarships.
