Scholarship Description
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), in partnership with Certified Background (UPDATED: now called, CastleBranch), is offering the Certified Background.com-AACN Scholarship Programme for students in nursing.
The Certified Background.com-AACN Scholarship Programme is specifically targeted at those nursing students who are seeking, admitted or enrolled in a baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral degree program at a nursing school affiliated with either CertifiedBackground.com or NursingCAS.
The Certified Background.com-AACN Scholarship Programme recognizes outstanding and excellent undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students who are advancing the nursing profession through a commitment to innovation, leadership and mentoring. Eligible applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
- Be admitted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program at an AACN member institution.
- Maintain at least a 3.2 grade point average in current program or at last school attended.
- Be enrolled at a school affiliated with CertifiedBackground.com OR have submitted your application to a nursing school through NursingCAS

Scholarship benefits
Through 2015, CertifiedBackground.com will award eight student scholarships a year, worth $5,000 each, totaling $200,000 over five years. Two $5,000 scholarships will be distributed to top nursing school applicants four times each year.

Eligible applicants must have submitted an application through nursing’s centralized application service, NursingCAS. Applicants must be admitted or enrolled in a nursing school affiliated with CertifiedBackground.com.
