Scholarship Description
The University of East Anglia Faculty of Science and INTO University of East Anglia invites applications from international undergraduate students for the University of East Anglia Faculty of Science Foundation Scholarships.
Successful completion of the International Foundation programme (subject to meeting the specified course requirements) leads to direct entry to Year 1 of an undergraduate degree course at the University of East Anglia.
A number of International Foundation Scholarships has been earmarked for the Faculty of Science for the 2013/2014 academic year. Eligible international applicants are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility
Applications to these scholarships are open to all international fee-paying students who:
- Hold an unconditional offer to an INTO UEA International Foundation pathway in:
- General Science
- Pharmacy, Biomedicine and Health
- Physical Sciences and Mathematics
- Mathematics and Actuarial Sciences
- And intend to progress onto a degree programme within the Faculty of Science at the University of East Anglia.
Citizens of any country (EXCEPT the UK/EU)

- MPharm Pharmacy
- BSc Biomedicine

Number of awards
Three scholarships will be given - 2 scholarships are available for September 2013. 1 scholarship is available for January 2014
Sponsorship duration
The International Foundation programme lasts for three terms (i.e two years) and there are two start dates available: September 2013 and January 2014.
Scholarship benefits
Each award is valued at £13,450 each.
50% of the scholarship amount will be deducted from the International Foundation course fees. 50% of the scholarship amount will be deducted from the first year of your undergraduate degree fees upon successful progression to an eligible course at the University of East Anglia.
Method of Application
Apply for the International Foundation pathway in one of the eligible Science pathways at INTO University of East Anglia. Once you have received an unconditional offer to study with UEA, please complete the essay question at the end of the Application Pack(found on the official website via link below) and return it by e-mail to into@uea.ac.uk.
DEADLINES:
For September 2013 entry, the deadline is Monday 22 July 2013. All scholarship applications received by this date will be considered and successful candidates will be notified by Monday 5 August 2013.
For January 2014 entry, the deadline is Monday 18 November 2013. All scholarship applications received by this date will be considered and successful candidates will be notified by Monday 25 November 2013.
