Scholarship Description
The Ekiti State Government has instituted various Scholarship and Bursary Awards for students of Ekiti State origin in the Federal, State and Private Universities in Nigeria and overseas.
Free Application forms for the Undergraduate, Masters Degree, Ph.D and Physically Challenged bursaries and scholarships are now available to prospective applicants at Ekiti state Scholarship Board, New Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti.

Eligibility
Scholarship Award:
- Applicants must be in 2nd year and above in their courses of study to be qualified for Undergraduate Scholarship Award and must possess WASC/NECO/SSC with a minimum of 5 Credits including English Language and Mathematics at a sitting and minimum CGPA of 4.0 for University or the equivalent of a second class Upper Division, 3.5 for Polytechnics and 3.00 for NCE in their current institutions of study.
- Applicants for Masters Degree and Ph.D Scholarship Award must possess a minimum GPA of 2nd Class Upper at undergraduate level. A strong letter of recommendation from the University of Masters Degree Programme is an additional prerequisite for the Ph.D Scholarship Award.
- Physically Challenged Students in Tertiary Institutions (NCE, ND, HND and Degree Studies) are qualified for the Handicapped Scholarship Award.
- Students on Part Times studies are not qualified for the Scholarship Awards.
All undergraduate, Polytechnic, NCE, School of Nursing and College of Health Technology students are qualified.

All accredited institutions of higher learning within Nigeria (includes Federal, State and Private) and also outside Nigeria (i.e. abroad)
Fields of study
All FULL-TIME courses can be applied for. It is important to note that PART TIME courses / studies cannot be applied for, and therefore NOT eligible
Number of awards
This has not been specified; however, several awards will be granted to undergraduate, postgraduate and physically challenged applicants

Method of Application
Prospective applicants who are interested and eligible may obtain FREE Application Forms for Undergraduate, Masters, Ph.D and Physically Challenged from the Ekiti state Scholarship Board, New Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti.

DEADLINES:
The initial announced deadline for submission of ALL applications for the 2013/2014 Ekiti State Government Scholarships and Bursary Awards was 2nd October, 2013.
However, this closing date has been extended. The new closing date for the Ekiti State Government Scholarships and Bursary application is 31st October, 3013.
PLEASE NOTE:
Students on Part Times studies are NOT qualified for any of these Scholarship Awards.
Ekiti State, created on October 1st 1996, has its capital located at Ado-Ekiti. The state lies south of Kwara and Kogi State, East of Osun State and bounded by Ondo State in the East and in the south.
