Scholarship Description
The Oluyole Club, Lagos is a socio-cultural organization comprising of notable indigenes of Ibadan residing in Lagos.

The Club was formed in 1968 to cater for the welfare of Ibadan indigenes who settled in Lagos. Its Annual Bursary Award Scheme aims to promote the cultural, intellectual and social advancement of Ibadan indigenes.

The application process for the 2013 Bursary Award of Oluyole Club, Lagos has commenced.

Eligibility
The Award is open to indigent students who are:
  • indigenes of Ibadan.
  • currently in Year 2 or advancing to the 200 level of their courses of study in any Nigerian university.
  • on a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.50 and above (2nd Class Upper Division) as at the end of the Year 1 examinations.
Eligible groups
Citizens of Nigeria, who are native indigenes of Ibadan in Oyo state

Participating Institutions
Courses can be studied in any accredited Nigerian university

Fields of study
All courses of study offered at any Nigerian university can be applied for

Method of Application
To apply for the Oluyole Club Lagos bursary, you must meet the specified requirements, part of which is that you must be currently in Year 2 or advancing to the 200 level of their courses of study in any Nigerian university.

In addition, each applicant is to send:
  • a handwritten application, which includes contact details- home address (street and location), email address and telephone number;
  • a letter of identification from his/her local government of origin;
  • a letter confirming their studentship, from the Dean of his/her Faculty; and
  • transcripts or examination results for the previous academic session.

Over the years it has evolved into a professional group of men of impeccable integrity who have socio-cultural and economic concerns for Ibadanland. It is a Think-Tank, Non Governmental Organization in matters relating to the long term socio-cultural interests of Ibadanland
