Scholarship Description
Mid Sweden University offers a range of high-quality international programmes taught in English and open to all students wishing to study abroad away from their home country, which must be outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland). As a non EU/EEA and Swiss citizen you will need to pay the course tuition fee.
For high performing students applying to a study programme at Mid Sweden University, the University is offering a number of scholarships which will result in a tuition fee reduction of 70,000 SEK or 250,000 SEK, depending on the programme one chooses to study.
All students who have applied to a study programme at Mid Sweden University starting autumn semester 2016, and who are required to pay tuition fees are welcome to apply for a Mid Sweden University Tuition Fee Scholarship.
Eligibility
The Mid Sweden University Tuition Fee Scholarship is aimed at top academic students from countries outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland). The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence.
Students who have applied to the below-listed study programmes at Mid Sweden University starting autumn semester 2016, and who are required to pay tuition fees are welcome to apply for a Mid Sweden University Tuition fee Scholarship.
Selection criteria:
The ranking process is based on academic excellence. For this selection process, Mid Sweden University will take an even distribution according to gender into consideration. Applicants who ranked Mid Sweden University as their first priority when initially applying to the university have preference.

A). Autumn 2016
A fee waiver of the tuition fee with 70 000 SEK:
- Master (one year) in Tourism Studies, 60 higher education credits
- Master programme (one year) in Business Administration, Marketing and Management, 60 higher education credits
- Master Programme (one year) in Political Sciences, 60 higher education credits
- International Master's Programme in Computer Engineering, 120 higher education credits
- International Master's Programme in Ecotechnology and Sustainable Development, 120 higher education credits
- International Master's Programme in Electronics Design, 120 higher education credits

This is a tuition fee reduction for the period of your programme. The scholarship is valid only for studies starting autumn semester 2016 and cannot be postponed.
Scholarship benefits
The Scholarship is awarded for a fee reduction of 70 000 to 250 000 SEK for the tuition fee for the programme at Mid Sweden University the student has applied to at the time of the scholarship application.
The scholarship amount is deducted from the tuition fee invoice for the programme which the awarded student is acceepted into. This means that the scholarship will not be disbursed to the student.
Method of Application
Students apply for the scholarship after the application for admission to Mid Sweden University. The application for admission must be submitted at www.universityadmissions.se no later than the deadline date below. The application for the scholarship is done by filling out an online application. The academic excellence of applicant will be assessed in accordance with the supporting documents submitted when applying for admission at Mid Sweden University. The applicants do not have to send in the supporting documents again.

DEADLINES:
The application for studies must be no later than 15 January 2016. The deadline date to apply for the scholarships is 10 February 2016.
PLEASE NOTE:
Applicants will be notified of the result of their scholarship application individually by e-mail address that was given on the application form. Notification will be sent out after the First Notification of Selection results have been published on 29 March 2016. If the applicant accepts the scholarship and accepts the offer of admission at univeristyadmission.se, an e-mail with further information will be sent. A scholarship contract will be given upon arrival on campus.
Mid Sweden University (Mittuniversitetet) is a Swedish state university located in the region around the geographical center of Sweden, with three campuses in the cities of Östersund, Sundsvall and Härnösand.
Created on 1 July 1993, the institution was originally called Mid Sweden University College (Mitthögskolan) and was the result of a merger between the previously existing University College of Sundsvall/Härnösand (Högskolan i Sundsvall/Härnösand) and the University College of Östersund (Högskolan i Östersund).
