Scholarship Description
The University of Leeds offers a wide range of scholarships for international students, from partial fee awards to full scholarships covering fees, maintenance grants and other allowances.
It is important to make enquiries and apply for sources of funding as early as you can.
Below are University of Leeds scholarships for international undergraduate students, starting a degree in September 2014.
University of Leeds International Undergraduate Scholarships
- The International Undergraduate Science and Engineering Scholarship
This is for overseas fee paying applicants who have been offered a place on an undergraduate degree programme. Applicants must be self-funding, new to the University of Leeds, enter onto level 1 and classified as international for tuition fee purposes and not be in receipt of any other University of Leeds award. All of the science rated undergraduate courses are eligible.
The award is worth £2,000 per year (with a maximum of £8,000) subject to satisfactory progression. Students must achieve a yearly attainment percentage of 60%. The scholarship will be withheld in a year where a student fails to achieve 60%, but will be reinstated the following year if the student's performance recovers to 60% or over.

- The Excellence in Mathematics Scholarships
This is for overseas rated fee paying students with outstanding qualifications. Each scholarship is worth a £3,000 one-off payment. All of the single honours mathematics degree courses at the university are eligible, including:
BSc Mathematics (G100), BSc Mathematics with Finance (G1N3), BSc Actuarial Mathematics (NG31), BSc Mathematical Studies (G150), and BSc Mathematics and Statistics (GG13).

- The Business School International Scholarship
This is for overseas fee paying students who demonstrate achievement. The award is available for all Business School undergraduate degree courses. The scholarship's worth is up to £7,500 in total, with a £2,500 a year towards tuition fees, subject to satisfactory progression.

- The Business School International Schools Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship award is for the following students:
- Applicants who are progressing from Bellerbys College (London, Oxford, Hove, Cambridge) – two scholarships
- Applicants who are either completing the Warwick HEFP at Stratford Upon Avon College or the Stratford Upon Avon College IFP – two scholarships

- The Leeds University Business School Approved Pathway Scholarship
This is for overseas fee rated students from Northern Consortium UK (NCUK).
There are six scholarships for International Foundation Year (IFY) students. The minimum requirements are a B in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and AAA in the remaining subjects.
There are also four scholarships for those studying for the International Diploma. The minimum requirements are a B in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and plus 75% overall.
All of the single honours Business School undergraduate degree courses are eligible. The award value is up to £7,500 in total with a £2,500 a year towards tuition fees, subject to satisfactory progression.

- The Leeds University Business School International Foundation Year Scholarship
This is for overseas fee rated students on the University of Leeds International Foundation Year (IFY). To be considered you must achieve a minimum overall average of at least 75% on the Leeds IFY with no single module below a grade B. All of the single honours Business School undergraduate degree courses are eligible; and the worth is up to £7,500 in total with a £2,500 a year towards tuition fees, subject to satisfactory progression.

- The School of Law International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships
This scholarship is for overseas fee paying students from specific countries. All of the single honours law school undergraduate degree courses are eligible. The worth is a £1,500 one-off payment.

- The School of Law International Undergraduate Merit Scholarships
This is for overseas fee paying students in years 2 and 3 of their undergraduate programme who achieve the required level in their previous year’s study. All of the single honours law school undergraduate degree courses are eligible. The worth is up to £3,000.
