Scholarship Description
Prove you are a global citizen by applying for the World Citizen Talent Scholarship at The Hague University, an educational united nations of 150 nationalities, where everyone speaks English.

The Hague University offers scholarships to students who would like to start their Master studies programme during the academic year 2018-2019 at the university.

The scholarships cover a large sum of the university’s tuition fee and will only be awarded once. This scholarship is a tuition fee waiver.

The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands: Our World Citizen Talent Scholarship

Eligibility
You are eligible for a World Citizen Talent Scholarship if you:
  • Come from outside The Netherlands and don’t live in the Netherlands.
  • Are enrolling for the first time at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
  • Have never applied for this scholarship before.
  • Have been conditionally accepted as a student (also-called offer of student position) on or before 1 May for the upcoming academic year.
Selection criteria:
The scholarship sponsors are seeking young, intelligent, talented and ambitious people who view themselves as citizens of the world. If this sounds like you and the conditions listed above apply to you, all you need to do is complete the application form and write an essay of 950 to 1100 words that would convince them to provide you with a scholarship.

Scholarship benefits
At €5,000 each, the scholarships covers a large sum of the university’s tuition fee and will only be awarded once. The scholarship is a tuition fee waiver of € 5000.

Method of Application
You may apply for this scholarship, but you can only get an allocation AFTER you have been conditionally accepted. In addition, you must meet all terms and conditions of enrolment. In general the scholarship application process is easy and requires 3 steps:
  • Step 1: Apply for the Master programme of your choice by using the online Osiris application tool.
  • Step 2: Write an essay (in English, 950 to 1100 words) explaining why and how you can contribute to the multinational, multicultural beehive that is The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Please read the essay guidelines and information on the assessment procedure on the official website before you start writing.
  • Step 3: Submit your essay by completing the scholarship application form between 1 November - 31 March.
It is important to read the FAQs, and also to visit the official website (link to it is below) to access the Regulations for Financial Aid, to access the online Application Form, and also for more detailed information on this scholarship.

DEADLINE:
You must complete and submit the scholarship application form between 1 November 2017 - 31 March 2018. The university has appointed a committee to judge all essays, which also should be submitted before 31 March, 2018.

PLEASE NOTE:
By submitting your essay, you are giving the university the right to publish it, if it so wishes.

When you are writing your essay, try picturing yourself as a member of the university community. University-appointed judges will select 9 students whose essays will have impressed them most and reward them with a scholarship. The decision of the jury will be binding.
