Scholarship Description
Schneider Electric opens its doors once again. This time, you are invited to the 8th edition of Go Green in the City, the global annual business case challenge.

Schneider Electric invites all qualified students to participate in this global student competition for innovative and efficient energy management ideas and solutions for a chance to revolutionize energy management and gain unique insight into one of the leading global energy management companies.

In teams of two, business or engineering-related degree program students from all over the world are invited to enter the competition and share their revolutionary energy management ideas. Enter the Go Green in the City 2018 and compete for a trip around the world and a job offer from Schneider Electric*! This year, 2018, the finals will be held in the USA!

Eligibility
Only university students eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of submission of the Initial Application are permitted to submit their proposals.

Students worldwide must be registered in a bachelor’s (at least the 2nd year), master’s or MBA program of business or engineering are eligible to compete in the Contest.

The Contest is open exclusively to individual students in teams of two, of which at least one team member is female. Both of the team members must study in the same country for the duration of the competition. They are not, however, required to be from the same university, nor are they required to study the same subject or be in the same year, as long as they are not in their first year of their undergraduate education. Likewise, the students are not required to be permanent residents or nationals of the country in which they are studying in order to compete. Should an individual student Entrant be disqualified, that Entrant’s team will no longer be able to participate.

Schneider Electric’s customers, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, and their respective employees, officers, directors, representatives, agents, consultants, contractors and their family members are NOT eligible to participate. Schneider Electric reserves the right to limit, or restrict upon notice, participation in the Contest to any person who fails to comply with these Rules and Conditions.

From all the submissions worldwide, there will emerge 100 semi-finalist teams, 12 finalist teams AND a winning team

Scholarship benefits
100 semi-finalist teams will train with a Schneider Electric mentor and create a video presentation of their idea. 12 finalist teams will be invited to Paris the USA to make their final presentations. The winning team will travel the world, stopping at two Schneider Electric offices along the way, and ultimately, receive a job offer*! (kindly see the PLEASE NOTE section below for more)

  3. Team up with a friend or classmate (at least one team member must be female)
  4. Submit an innovative idea for efficient energy management for smarter cities
