Scholarship Description
The Lord Walston Scholarship is awarded to applicants from Africa who are working in natural resource based projects (agriculturalist/natural resource) at the University of East Anglia.
The full-fee scholarship awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence, and for eligible courses as listed out below (please see Fields of Study below).
Eligible applicants are encouraged to apply for a study place at the University of East Anglia for consideration of this award.
Eligibility
You must be an applicant from Africa.
You must be working in any of natural resource based projects (agriculturalist/natural resource).
You must be applying for a place of study on any of the eligible masters degree courses at the University of East Anglia.
Selection criteria:
The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence.
The level of competition for most of the awards offered by the East Anglia university is extremely high and candidates are usually assessed on past, and potential, academic performance.

The eligible courses must be natural resource based projects (agriculturalist/natural resource), and include:
- MA Agriculture and Rural Development
- MSc Environment and International Development
- MSc Climate Change and International Development
One scholarship will be available at the University of East Anglia
Sponsorship duration
The Lord Walston Full fee Scholarship covers the entire duration of the program.
Scholarship benefits
The Scholarship covers Full Fees and Maintenance (living expenses).
Method of Application
All eligible candidates to whom the School have made an offer are automatically considered for nomination.
Please note that all applicants are expected to have met the School's English language requirements and been offered and accepted a place on the course by the deadline date.
