Scholarship Description
The Local Organizing Committee of the UNIPORT 40TH Anniversary Competitions invites entries for its Essay writing, Visual arts and Pageantry Competitions which has been scheduled to mark the event of the university's 40th anniversary celebrations.

All students and alumni of the school are eligible to compete for these contests by submitting applications to the competition of their interest. All students and alumni are by this announcement informed and encouraged to apply.

Eligibility
A). ESSAY COMPETITION:

Criteria:-

1. Students/Alumni of the University are eligible
2. Entries should be between 1,200 and 1,500 words typeset in double space, in Time New Romans Font 12
3. Must be original and previously unpublished
4. Each entry must have one page indicating the details of the candidate.

B). VISUAL ARTS COMPETITION:

Criteria:-

1. Third/fourth year undergraduate students of Department of Fine Arts and Design

C). PAGEANTRY COMPETITION:
(Mr. & Miss Unique UNIPORT 2015)

Criteria:-

1. Interested candidate must be a student of Uniport.

Method of Application
A). ESSAY COMPETITION:
Each entry must have one page indicating the details of the candidate as follows:

• Title of essay, 
• name of candidate, 
• address of candidate, 
• phone numbers, 
• e-mail, 
• state of origin, 
• date of birth, 
• gender, 
• department/period of studentship in Uniport and 
• essay’s word count.

B). VISUAL ARTS COMPETITION:
Submit two-dimensional 3ft by 4ft, three dimensional 2ft by 3ft, relief 2ft by 3ft to Dr. Pamela Cyril – Egware and Dr. Sam Onwuakpa

C). PAGEANTRY COMPETITION:
(Mr. & Miss Unique UNIPORT 2015)

DEADLINES:
All applications for the Essay writing competitions must be received on or before Wednesday May 13th, 2015 with “UNIPORT 40TH ANNIVERSARY ESSAY” marked as subject.

All applications for the Visual arts competitions must be received on or before Friday, Wednesday May, 13th 2015.
