Scholarship Description
The University of the West of England, Bristol offers more than £600,000 worth of scholarships for international students each year. This includes the Chancellor’s Scholarship.

In awarding the UWE Chancellor’s Scholarships 2020/2021, recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Office or other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

Following graduation, recipients of the Chancellor’s Scholarships will also be expected to be an active member of the UWE Bristol Alumni Network by helping the University to promote its programmes to prospective students.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must:

• have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in an undergraduate degree
• hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer where IELTS or equivalent English language is the only condition
• be a new student to UWE Bristol with no previous UK study
• be classed as overseas for fees purposes
• not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship/award
• provide official transcripts at the time of application.

Scholarship benefits
This is a PARTIAL fee scholarship. The value is 50% tuition fees

Method of Application
You mush have received an offer for a Master’s Programme at UWE in order to apply for this scholarship. Applicants who have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in an undergraduate degree will be invited to apply via their UWE Welcome portal by completing the scholarship task.

DEADLINES:
The deadline is 26 May 2019 (for September 2019 class intake) and 31 October 2016 (for January 2017 start). All applications must be submitted before these dates.

The University of the West of England, also known as UWE Bristol, or simply UWE is based in the city of Bristol. Its main campus is at Frenchay in Bristol. UWE also has campuses at St Matthias and Glenside in north-east Bristol and Bower Ashton, near Ashton Court in south-west Bristol. UWE is the larger of the two universities in Bristol, the other being the longer established University of Bristol.
