And if you are an international student wishing to study in Italy, there are certain scholarships available to you from the very beginning.

International students in Italy are entitled to the same financial aid services available to their fellow Italian students based on the same prerequisites of financial means and/or merit. Government scholarships at the national and regional level are available to which international students can apply to study in Italy. In addition, some higher education institutions in Italy (Italian Universities, Colleges, etc) offer Italian scholarship programs for international students.   1. Italian Government Scholarships for Foreign Students
    The Italian Government offers scholarships to both foreign citizens and Italian citizens resident abroad for study and/or research projects at higher education Institutions within the Italian state education and research system (all State Institutions and research centers, or legally recognized by the competent State authority).   2. EDISU Piemonte Scholarships
    EDISU Piemonte, the Regional Agency for the Right to University Education of Piemonte, promotes the admission and the attendance of academic studies to deserving students who find themselves in financial need. International students at any at one of the Universities in Piedmont (i.e. The Politecnico of Torino, the University of Torino, the University of Eastern Piedmont) can apply for EDISU scholarships if they meet the merit and economic requirements of the competition. Students must be enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, Single Cycle Master’s degree, or PhD Degree course.   6. Politecnico de Milano Merit-Based Scholarships for International Students
    Every year, Politecnico di Milano offers a number of merit based scholarships to the most talented international candidates admitted to a Master of Science programme. Students obtaining a scholarship will have to pay only an administrative fee of about €200. Merit-based scholarships are available for students applying to the 1st or 2nd semester. Scholarships of €5000 to €10000 per year may be awarded in addition to the tuition fee waiver.

  8. Università Cattolica International Scholarships
    The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) offers the USCS International Scholarship as an annual tuition fee reduction scholarship in order to foster the access of international students to degree programs. The discount covers about 42% of the total cost.
