Scholarship Description
The University of Strathclyde, through its Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering offers the Electronic & Electrical Engineering PGT International Excellence Awards to international students of excellence from around the world.

These Electronic & Electrical Engineering PGT International Excellence Awards were established to attract the very best overseas student talent. The awards are designed to provide financial assistance to international students interested in pursuing a postgraduate instructional MSc programme within the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering.

Applications are invited from international students who qualify for this scholarship i.e. who meet the criteria set out below. Only students who meet the quality criteria will be eligible.

Eligibility
To apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
  • Be classified as International by the University
  • Hold a first degree of at least second upper class Honours standard, in a relevant subject
  • Hold no other scholarships and financial awards
  • Commence their chosen MSc programme within the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering in October 2016
The award will be allocated based on quality, but applying early increases your chances of receiving one of these awards.

Selection criteria:
Awards are made on the basis of academic merit, personal achievements and citizenship.

Sponsorship duration
This is a onetime financial aid towards tuition fees for one year.

Scholarship benefits
The successful recipient will benefit from a £3,000 award partial-funding towards tuition fees

DEADLINES:
Applications for Session 2016/2017 (September 2016 entry) has been on since 1st October 2015. The closing date for applications for the International Excellence Award is 30th May 2016.

PLEASE NOTE:
Only students who meet the quality criteria will be eligible and the Department reserves the right not to allocate the award if insufficient quality applicants apply. Allocation of an Excellence Award can only be given to candidates who have not already accepted another scholarship through the University.
