Scholarship Description
Healthline’s vision is to create a stronger, healthier world. To support this vision, Healthline is excited to announce that this year 2017, it is launching an inaugural scholarship, the Healthline Stronger Scholarship Program, for college students pursuing higher education.
Healthline has strong bonds with several health condition communities, which the company considers its allies, advocates, and inspiration. Therefore, the company now wishes to give these communities the knowledge and tools they need to take charge of their conditions. So each year, this scholarship program will seek to lift them up.
The mission of this scholarship is to support, guide, and inspire emerging leaders of tomorrow who can change the field of health. Two scholarships will be awarded to any student (local or international) enrolled in a graduate school in the United States for the 2017 Fall Semester, who will also have the opportunity to submit their plans (within 12 months of the award date) describing how they will impact the focus health community for that particular year. For this inaugural year, it is type 2 diabetes.
Eligibility
To participate in the 2017 scholarship programme, you must:
- Be enrolled in an accredited U.S. graduate program for Fall 2017
- Be a current U.S. resident
- Have minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 from most recent transcript
- Demonstrate leadership and community involvement
- Demonstrate a connection to type 2 diabetes
An independent selection committee will evaluate the applications and select the recipients considering:
- Essay content
- Academic achievements and records
- Community involvement

Healthline is looking for people who are in some way connected to type 2 diabetes and want to use their advanced degree to help make the world a stronger, healthier place, whether as an advocate, resource, or part of the healthcare industry itself.
You have an opportunity to submit plans describing how you will impact the Type 2 diabetes community. Your plans may contain video, article, survey results, photo gallery — whatever best depicts how your work is having a positive impact.
Number of awards
Only two awards will be granted for the 2017 Fall Semester
Sponsorship duration
Applied for one year, and are NOT renewable.
Students may reapply each year as long as they continue to meet the eligibility criteria but may only win the scholarship once.
Scholarship benefits
Each award is valued at $10,000 and will be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for course load at accredited, nonprofit colleges/universities in the USA
Method of Application
To apply, follow the steps below:
- Click the “Apply Now” button (found on application website via link below) or go to https://aim.applyISTS.net/Healthline (program key Healthline) to create an AIM account using your e-mail address and chosen password
- Log in to your AIM account to be taken directly to the Welcome page of the scholarship application.
- Complete all required fields in the online application and upload any required documents (such as GED Certificate, high school transcript, college transcript and/or ACT/SAT scores). As part of the application process, you will be required to upload answers to 3 essay questions that describe how you are committed to one of Healthline's core values, how you are connected to type 2 diabetes, and how you will use your education to impact the community.
- Click the Submit button on the Save/Submit page of the online application.
DEADLINES:
Application will be accepted between May 15 - June 20, 2017. The deadline to submit a complete application is 11:59 pm PT on June 20, 2017
