Programme Description
The Tony Elumelu Foundation, a nonprofit organization working to promote entrepreneurship in Africa, is hosting the Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Forum in Lagos, Nigeria. Journalists are invited to attend and cover this conference. And travel fellowships have been provided.
Travel Fellowships provide financial support to journalists and photojournalists affiliated with African national or global media houses to attend the 2017 Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Forum holding October 13-15, 2017.
The TEF Entrepreneurship Forum 2017 will be the largest gathering of African entrepreneurs and other ecosystem stakeholders from across the continent. It will be a showcase of the innovation and entrepreneurial potential that exists in Africa and has the potential to be the debut of the next generation of African business titans onto the global stage.
Eligibility
This Fellowships provide financial support to journalists and photojournalists affiliated with African national or global media houses. Eligibility is as follows:
- Working Journalists affiliated with African national or global media houses
- Documented support provided from Supervisor/media outlet

The TEF Entrepreneurship Forum is held over three days (October 13-15, 2017) and is the physical gathering of the 1,000 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurs (2017) from 54 African countries in Lagos, Nigeria.
Fellowship benefits
The TEF Entrepreneurship Forum Travel Fellowship provides 50 fellowships that cover travel, accommodation, and a per diem. TEF will handle travel arrangements, accommodation and assist with visas*.
This dynamic platform (i.e. TEF Entrepreneurship Forum) allows the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurs to form networks, share knowledge, build cross border business partnerships, and connect with investors, link with corporate supply chains, influence policy makers and business leaders participating in the Forum.

The third annual Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Forum, will hold in Lagos, Nigeria from 13-14 October 2017. TEF Entrepreneurship Forum is the largest annual gathering of African entrepreneurs, where over 54 African countries represented will meet with business leaders, established entrepreneurs and policymakers to forge partnerships, share insights and fashion Africa-made solutions to accelerate the transformation of Africa. The gathering is the culmination of the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme, the Founder’s $100 million commitment to identifying, training, mentoring and empowering 10,000 African entrepreneurs over 10 years.
