The Northern Kentucky University welcomes applications from international students and is happy to offer the International Freshmen Scholarships for new incoming students from any country of the world.
The International Freshmen Scholarships is specifically targeted at those who want to pursue undergraduate studies at the university. The value of this scholarship varies and will range from $1,500 up to approximately $5,500 annually, including tuition expenditures.
The Northern Kentucky University scholarship programs are developed to acknowledge academically impressive and artistically skilled trainees. The Incoming International Freshmen Scholarships is only one of these scholarships, but specifically targeted at international students.
Eligibility
International applicants who are aplying as first-time-freshmen will be instantly considered for this scholarship after they have been accepted into Northern Kentucky University.

- Successful conclusion of Kentucky’s Pre-College Curriculum
- Four years of English
- Three years of mathematics consisting of Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry or 3 integrative mathematics courses
- Three years of science
- Three years of social research studies
- Two years of the exact same foreign language
- ACT subscores of 18 in English, mathematics and reading or
- SAT(Prior to 3/2016) mathematics and composing subscores of 430, important reading rating of 450 or
- SAT(After 3/2016) mathematics 23.5, checking out and composing and language 25
In order to get approved for the faculties to consider an application, the applicant should have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on the United States 4.0 scale) at the time of admission, in addition to at least ONE of these minimum test ratings:
- 79 TOEFL ibt
- 5 IELTS band
- 1160 SAT (brand-new assessment)
- 24 ACT composite

Method of Application
International applicants who are applying as first-time-freshmen will be instantly considered for this scholarship after they have actually been accepted to NKU. To be considered for freshman admission into Northern Kentucky University, you should apply for admission and send the required qualifications. Your list for admission to NKU includes:
- Complete the NKU application (application form here)
- Pay the application charge
- Submit a main copy of your high school records
- Send your ACT and/or SAT test ratings to NKU

The due date for this scholarship award is November 1, 2017 (for the January 2018 intake), and April 1, 2018 (for the August 2018 intake)
