Scholarship Description
Are you looking to enrich your studies with a semester abroad in Denmark? It is now possible for highly qualified students, who are not from EU/EAA countries or Switzerland, to apply for a scholarship to study at a Nursing programme.

University College Lillebælt (UCL) is awarding Nursing scholarships (tuition waiver and stipends) to international students wishing to undertake short courses in the field of Nursing at the University for the 2018/2019 academic year.

These Nursing-related scholarships will cover the complete tuition and contribute to living expenses while studying at UCL. UCL does not offer scholarships for any of the other study programmes at this point in time.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the Nursing scholarships, candidate must be:
  • applying to participate in one of the mentioned courses (see 'Fields of study' below)
  • a citizen of a country outside the EU, the European Economic Area or Switzerland
  • enrolled in a full degree higher education programme in your home country related to nursing.

Citizens of ALL countries (EXCEPT EU/EAA countries or Switzerland)

Fields of study
At the Department of Nursing, candidates combine the English module Nursing, Ethics and Research-Based Knowledge (15 ECTS) with a practice placement (15 ECTS) at a Danish health-care facility for a total duration of 4 months.

Clinical placement appropriate for your studies will provide you with insights to the Danish health-care system.

Scholarship benefits
The scholarship covers the tuition fee for one semester (4 months), and additionally candidate will receive approximately 7000 DKK each month to contribute to your living expenses.

Method of Application
You apply for the scholarship at the same time you apply for studies via the on-line MoveON application. Any applications received after the deadline will be declined. For more information about how to apply, see the How to apply Webpage.

To ensure that only highly qualified students are granted the scholarship, UCL requires you to prepare and submit all of the requested documents (see website for the list). If any of the requested enclosures (files) are missing, your application will NOT be taken into consideration for the scholarship. Nor if you apply after the deadline. All enclosures (files) must be pdf files in order to be considered for the scholarship.

DEADLINES:
The deadline for applying was November 1st 2017 (for studies in Spring 2018). Applications for the autumn 2018 are welcome by the end of February 2018, when we re-open the on-line application form.

University College Lillebaelt is one of eight new regional organizations of different study sites in Denmark offering bachelor courses of all kinds in the southwest part of Denmark (Funen and southwest Jutland). The organization was formed in 2008 by merging CVU Fyn, CVU Jelling, CVSU Fyn and the Social College of Odense. University College Lillebaelt has branches in Jelling, Vejle, Odense and Svendborg. The headquarters is located in Vejle.
